It’s official! It’s September and that means time for some new fall clothes. Today we’re sharing a stylish top that will wear well now through the warm months! And we’re officially kicking off National Sewing Month! Be sure to join us all month long for projects, inspiration, tips, tricks, giveaways and much more! Designer Jenifer Cowles is kicking this off today!
When I received the beautiful stitched denim from Nancy’s Notions I decided to make a top for me instead of a bag like I had planned. I am so happy that I changed my mind, especially since there was some leftover that I can use to make a bag as well.

Stylish Chambray Top Instructions:
Trace out the pattern pieces for the chambray dress from the Handmade Style book on the Pattern Material. Using the Pattern Material will make your pattern last longer and hold up for frequent usages. Follow all directions for making the top from the Handmade Style book, please note I shortened the dress by 8″ and then had a 1″ hem to make the top.
