Hocus Pocus-TOW

Hi there Therm O Web fans :)  Jenifer here with you today to share a fun Halloween banner I created using some of the new Deco Foils.  I love how the purple foils were just the perfect touch I needed to give this fun little banner just the perfect pop.

Hocus Pocus banner by Designer Jenifer Cowles

Supplies used:
Fabric-Jen Jangles
Ribbon-May Arts

Free hand draw a hat and using Heat N Bond Ultra hold adhere it to the background fabric.
Find a font that works for the project.  If you have a cutting machine then cut out the Hot Melt adhesive.  You can print out the font using your computer and printer and trace the shape onto the Hot Melt and then cut out the shape or letters.  It does take more time but it can still be done.

Here is an example of hand cut letters.

Once everything is in place quilt and finish as desired. As you can see I quilted right over the foils and there were no issues, giving it a cool fun effect.
Just imagine all of the fun projects you can make with Deco Foils, there are so many fun colors to choose from.

Side Note Satchel-TOW

Hi this is Jenifer here with you today to share the Side Note Satchel that I made with the new Vintage Made Modern Fabrics and Crossroads Denim.

I am loving everything about this bag.  It is nice and roomy and has pockets.  The fabrics are fun and coordinates nicely with the denim.  The HeatNBond Ultra give the fabric enough stiffness so that the purse keeps its shape while the denim also helps with the support.

How cute is this little pocket on the side?  Just the perfect size to hold your phone or a set of keys.

Here is a look at the inside of this bag.  There is tons of room and there are nice big pockets on each side to hold all of the little things that we need to carry around.  I love how spacious it is, it holds one of my notebooks and my planner with tons of room for the other stuff.
This is definitely a pattern that I will make again.

Halloween Wreath-DCWV

Welcome DCWV fans! It’s Jenifer from the DCWV Social Media Design Team!
Today I would like to share this fun Halloween wreath I created using the new Spooky Delight stacks, both the 6x6 and the 12x12 stacks and some May Arts Ribbons.

I started out by using some old vintage book pages rolled to create a nice full background to build my wreath on.

I love Halloween and I especially love decorating for Halloween.  I tend to go more on the cute side instead of the scary side of Halloween.  I was trying for pretty and I think that was accomplished with the flowers

I just love this new Spooky Delight stack and strongly recommend running out and getting it.  I can't wait to put together some layouts from the papers that I have left over.

Album Cover-May Arts

Hi there May Arts fans, this is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun handmade album I created using a ton of May Arts ribbons.  I made my album but you could easily transform a purchased album to fit your needs.
Every year I make calendars, so every year I have a stack of 8"x 8" pages ready to be put into albums.  I have fallen behind in putting the pages into albums so I decided to make my own.

I am so happy with how it turned out.  I started my layers with a beautiful piece of Lace and then layered with some doilies and flowers.

I had so much fun customizing this album I can't wait to make another one.  I might do some shades of blue next time.

Goofing Around Layout-WOW

Welcome Wow fans, this is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun layout with you today using some of the new stamp sets that just came out this month.  I used the new flights of fancy stamp set to create these fun leaves on my layout.  I used the glitter foil and a few shades of Embossing powders to give my leaves a wonderful sparkly effect.

It was hard getting a good close up of the different leaves.

As you can see on the first leaf I used the foil and the next couple I used the Chocolate Caramel Pearl and all the way to the right I used Daytona Sands.  I love how it all just sparkles and shines making this a perfect Fall layout.

Spruce up some Pillowcases-May Arts

Hi there May Arts Fans, Jenifer here with you today to share a super easy way to add ribbon to some custom pillowcases.  I have made a bunch of pillowcases in my time but this one is by far the easiest and all of the seams are enclosed leaving you with a beautiful piece of work.

Last year I made my daughter a beautiful quilt, I had just enough fabric left to make a fun throw pillow and a pillowcase.  I don't know why it took me so long to make the pillowcase, this one only took me about a half and hour to make.  It took me longer to pick out the ribbons.

I chose to use this beautiful eyelet and this fun green chevron twill to tie it all together.  I love how it looks all layered together.

Here is the pillow on her bed with the matching quilt.  I love how it all goes together.  You can definitely tell we are a ribbon family, don't you just love the ribbon garland she has hanging over her head?  You can see more of that in this post here.
