Lone Star Quilt - TOW/Jennifer Jangles

Good Morning Therm O Web fans!!  This is Jenifer here with you today to share my project using the lovely fabrics from our very own Jennifer Jangles.  Jennifer's fabrics are always so bright and playful and her new collection is no exception.  I have been wanting to make a Lone Star quilt for awhile now and when I saw these fabrics I just knew what I wanted to make.
This quilt measures 60"x 60".  I have found many different ways to make this quilt but this pattern from Moda gave me the courage to jump in and get it done.  The directions were clear and easy to follow and I know that I will be making this one again.

I absolutely love the matching plaid for the backing, it really ties the quilt together.

I did a random swirl for the quilting and nothing to fancy to take away from the star.  This is going to be a wall hanging for Christmas so I used StitchNSew Fleece and SprayNBond Basting Spray to hold all of my layers together.  This step saves you from having to use all of those pins to baste your layers together.  If you haven't tried Basting Spray I strongly encourage you to give it a try, it will save you tons of time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my quilt today.  Make sure you stop by again and check out more projects made from these fun whimsical fabrics from Jennifer Jangles.

DIY Cone Wreath-DCWV

Welcome DCWV fans! It’s Jenifer from the DCWV Social Media Design Team!  I would like to share a project from one of the new DIY project stacks, Cones found at Michaels.
This new DIY stack has everything you need to create this wreath or some fun cone party favors.  With some of the extra papers I even made some quick rolled roses to match.

I hot glued everything down to a piece of cardboard to give it a sturdy base, and added a ribbon to the back for hanging.

As soon as my daughter saw it she claimed it for her bedroom door.  I must admit it is the perfect spot for this fun cone wreath.
I hope you give these new DIY kits a try, they are quick and easy with plenty of options for your own creativity.

Cute Clips from Ribbon Scraps-May Arts

Welcome to the May Arts Scraps hop.  Welcome to my little blog :)  I made these super cute little paper clip flags with some of my abundant ribbon scraps.  Am I the only one that has trouble throwing away even the smallest piece of ribbon?

Well here is a way to use up some of those scraps.  Small bits of ribbon, hot glue and paperclips.  You could use these to decorate scrapbook pages or to even mark pages in your planner.

Here is a gallon size bag of my scraps, I now see tons of possibilities.  I am so glad I didn't throw those little bits away.  Make sure you stop by the May Arts blog tomorrow I will show you what else I did with all of my scraps :)

Here is the rest of the line up...  Enjoy!!

Watercolor Birthday Card-Wow Embossing Powders

Hi there Wow fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun technique.  I have a ton of art supplies that I really don't know how to use.  Right now watercolor is such a popular trend that I thought I would give it a try.

I found these metallic watercolors for under 5$ at Michaels.  I embossed my Sexi-Hexi stamp with Ebony embossing powders and then I just roughly colored in the spaces.  I wanted to try out a bunch of the colors so I went with a rainbow pattern.

Here is a close up, can you see how it sparkles.  I finished everything off with a bright silk ribbon and a statement.  I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  Give watercolor a try, it's really fun.

Mini notepads-Ruby Rock-It

Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans, this is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun mini notebook that you can make out of all those lovely scraps of paper that you just can't seem to throw away.
Here is a couple little notebooks that I made.  They measure 2 1/2"x 4 1/4", a perfect size to just throw in your purse or leave on your desk to jot down some notes.

Here is the grey one, the paper is double sided so you get this cool pattern on the inside.

I thought the teal ribbon and embossing powder would be a lovely contrast to the grey.  I love those colors together.

This one is from the fun Kraftastic Glitter paper, I love these papers.

Thank you so much for taking a look at my project today.  Make sure you check back often for more inspiration from this very creative team.

Toothbrush pouch-TOW

Hi there Therm O Web fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share a quick summer project with you.  It is that time of year where the kids are off doing various activities and such with friends.  Usually they just throw their toothbrush and such in a ziplock baggie and they are off.

I decided that a Deco Foil Monogrammed Toothbrush pouch was needed.  Super easy, with a few scraps of fabric, ribbon for binding and an old washcloth is all that is needed.

I used a washcloth on the inside to help absorb some of the wet.

Here it is all packed up and ready to go :)  Now I am off to make some for the boys.
Have a great summer!!

Welcome to the Wow and UmWow hop.  Can I just tell you these are about 2 of my most favorite products.  I just love the little Um Wow Butterflies.  I wrapped a little piece of wire around the middle and they look like they are flying around the flowers on the tag.

The tag started around one of the new Wow Embossing powder colors, Chocolate Caramel Pearl, and let me tell you it is lovely.

Here is a close up of my cluster.  I have some flowers, DCWV  and old book papers, and also some May Arts ribbons.
