May Arts-Stampendous Hop

Welcome to the May Arts/Stampendous hop :)

I got this super cute elephant and quotes set in the mail.  Isn't this elephant just the best.  I stamped her on gray card stock and then colored her in with some metallic pens.

I used this fun May Arts Satin Knot edge ribbon and tied a simple little knot randomly and then adhered them onto the card.

Make sure you stop by the May Arts blog for the week to see all of the wonderful projects with Stampendous and May Arts.

Dwell in Possibility Mini-DCWV

Welcome DCWV fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share one of my favorite DIY project stacks, Mini Albums.  I was going to create this fun mini for my 13 year old Daughter and put it all together and give it to her but once I had the base of the album together I thought it would be fun to give her all of the fun pieces and let her put the album together.  I can't wait to see what she comes up with.
Here is the cover, everything you see is included in the stack.  I have not added anything extra.

This is the second cover.  I added another fun quote.

When you open the second cover I added a pocket with a bunch of the fun cut outs that are included.

Here are a bunch of the fun cut outs that I have in the pocket.  All she will have to do is cut out the desired items to decorate her album.

When you open up the other inserts you have these 3 pages with some flaps to decorate and add details.
I can't wait to give this to her and see how she does it.  I think I will make one as well and see the differences.
You should give these new DIY stacks a try.  They come with clear instruction sheets that make putting your project together a breeze.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my project today.

Summer Fun Layout with WOW

Welcome Wow fans!!  This is Jenifer here with you today to share my summer project.  I went with a fun layout about splashing in the water.

Wow has a large variety of shades of blue powders and I wanted to try and create the illusion of bubbles.  I used a Dreamweaver stencil and some whipped spackle from Faber Castell.  Before the whipped spackle could dry I put a small amount of several blue Wow powders over the top and heated them with a heat gun.

Can you see how cool this looks in the close up?  It is so hard to get a good picture of all the sparkle, but it is there and I LOVE how it turned out.

Here is another close up.

I hope you have enjoyed my summer project for today and I hope you give this technique a try.

Fusion Calendar- Ruby Rock-It

Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans it's Jenifer here with you today to share this fun, quick tutorial for a desk calendar using this 5"x7" acrylic frame from Clear Scraps.

I wanted a very light and airy feeling that would transfer over to my Calendar cards so that it wouldn't clash from one month to the next.  I chose to do white and wood veneer.   Here is my flower cluster on the outside of the acrylic frame.

This acrylic frame is so cool it even gives me enough space to store the extra cards behind it.

Here are the individual cards that I made.  I kept them very simple with room on the side to allow the flowers to show and not block the the calendar.  I cut the paper to 5"x7" and using doilies and other scraps of paper had this done within the hour.

Here are the calendar pages when they are in the frame.  I just love this and I love that all I have to do is swap out the month and have a pretty calendar sitting on my desk.

*Tip-Pinterest has a lot of free printable calendar pages to choose from.

Make a Splash Layout-Ruby

Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans!!  This is Jenifer here with you to share another W on Wednesday with you.  My layout today doesn't have a great picture, but it still is something that I want to remember.  My youngest should have been born a fish, he has loved being in the water since he was just a few months old.  This is a picture of when he was 3 and just jumped right on in.

I am loving all of the new product that Ruby Rock-it has come out with.  The Fusion line is so fun and colorful, this piece of the blue looks like waves and just had to be used in my water layout.

You just have to use these glittered alphabet stickers and small silver letters that tie in with the small strips of silver dot vellum that I used here and there.

The "this moment" wood veneer has been treated with Wow embossing powder in Calypso to give it just the right amount of sparkle.  I filled the rectangle with some loose pearl beads I had laying around and I think that they look like bubbles.
