Simply Amazing-WOW

Welcome Wow fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share my layout that I made the fantastic sketches.  I decided to do a monochromatic layout using white and yellow and I just LOVE how it turned out.

I centered my layout around this pretty picture of a flower that I had taken years ago and it was just itching to be scraped.

I embossed opposite corners with the Sexi Hexi Stamp and the Sunny Yellow embossing powder.  I used a little bit of texture paste to give my layout a little more dimension.

I used the Lace Stamp with Bright White Embossing Powder then using a yellow water color I colored over the top and then cut around the image.

Creative Cards-Ruby Rock-It

Welcome Ruby Rock-It fans!!  This is Jenifer here with you today to share some very quick and easy cards for you.  Ruby Rock-It has come out with some new stamps and card stock packs that make it very easy to put cards together.

I put together 3 cards, they don't go together as a set,  but each one can stand alone with it's own simple charm.

I have a really hard time cutting into a beautiful piece of 12x12 paper to make a card so I usually only use my scraps.  For this card I used a scrap piece of Fusion 2015 and Vellum and adhered it to a piece of the new Fundamentals cardstock.  Fundamentals also has a new set of Clear Stamps that are fantastic, they have new words and sayings that you will definitely want to have in your collection.

Here is a close up.

For my second card I have kept it very simple with a scrap of vellum and a piece from the Glittered Kraftastic collection and adhered to another piece from the new Fundamentals Cardstock.  The Glittered Kraftastic is so lovely you really do not need to do very much to it.

For my final card I used a piece of Vellum on a piece of the New Fundamentals Silver Cardstock and then went very simple with a Happy Birthday stamped from one of the New Clear Stamps and a couple of the Bella Florals and Bella Bling

Here is another close up of this card, see how fun these new stamps are.

Mr&Mrs Deco Foil Pillow-TOW

Welcome Therm O Web fans!!  This is Jenifer here with you today to share a project that I made for the Therm O Web booth for Quilt Market.  I wanted to go over some of the steps that I took to get the deco foil successfully onto my fabric.

Cut out your letters or design on the Deco Foil Hot Melt Adhesive.  I don't have a fancy electronic cutter, so I cut my letters out by hand.  You can trace over a large font you printed off you computer or you can use stencils.  Yes it does take more time but you are still able to make beautiful projects.

After all the letters have been cut then place them on your fabric.  The key is to NOT have your iron set on the hottest setting but a level below that.  Iron everything in place and allow it to cool completely.  Once cool then peel away the paper.

Now with the iron at the same setting iron on the foil with the parchment paper between the foil and the iron.  Allow the foil to cool completely.  Peel away the foil and you will have a beautiful foiled image.

This is the foiled letters before they became a pillow.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my project today, I hope these tips will help you have a successful foiling experience.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Seaside Yacht- Mini Album/DCWV

Hello everyone! It is Jenifer from the DCWV Social Media Design Team! I wanted to share this fun Mini Album that I created using toilet paper rolls and the Seaside Yacht stack, which is available at Michael's stores.  I love making fun little albums.  When I saw this video from My Sisters Scrapper I just knew that this would be a fun project to try.

This is the cover of my album using the fun fabric paper that comes in the Seaside Yacht stack.  May Arts navy polka dot ribbon tied in a bow adorns the top of my mini.

A view from the side.

These are the rolls covered in patterned paper with the tags that slide in and out of the rolls.

This is the inside back cover, I am not sure what I am going to do with this album yet but I can't wait to get it filled with memories or quotes, or I might just give it to my mother in law who goes on a lot of cruises.
I hope I have inspired you to try something new and to maybe recycle something old into something new and useful.

Flower Inspiration-May Arts

Welcome to the May Arts Flower Inspiration.  I choose to use the NX ribbon.  What is fun about this ribbon is the stitch down the center.  Cut a 6" length and then pull the stitch down the center on both ends and tie the stitch in a knot.  You end up with these little ruffly buds.  I like to use these little buds as fillers for bigger flowers and on vines.  NX comes in 10 other colors that will co-ordinate with any project.

Here is a close up of the buds.

This is what the ribbon looks like.  Try it I just know you will love it and it can't get any easier.

Gorgeous Layout with Ruby Rock-It

Welcome Ruby Rock-It fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share a recent layout that I just love.  I know that it is pretty simple but with such a wonderful picture I really didn't want much to taking away from it.

The grey damask is part of the Fusion 2015 collection.  I have been on part of a grey kick lately and was very pleased when I say that the Fusion 2015 collection had a few wonderful pieces of grey in them.  This makes me so happy!!

I am in love with the new wood veneer collections.  I LOVE them and I just know that they will be showing up on a ton of future projects.

Of course one of my layouts has to have some vellum and a little cluster of flowers on it and this one is no exception.  A simple silk ribbon bow to tie the layout together and done.
