Notes-MLS/Twinery Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Little Shoebox and Twinery Blog hop.  I was so excited when I got my package of yummy Twine in the mail.  It goes perfectly with all of the My Little Shoebox papers.  The only problem I have now is NOT using it on every single project.  HA!
I created a little notebook (using the Keepsake collection) that I thought my daughter could use to document some of her activities this summer.  Let me tell you it was a hit :)

Using a border punch I punched the edges of all the inside pages giving it a cute look to the inside.

I put a circle on the back so my daughter could write her name and year on it and hopefully keep it as a keepsake for years to come.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Make sure you visit all of the other talented ladies in the Hop :)

Here is today's BLOG HOP ORDER.

Have a great week.

Butterflies with WOW

Make sure you stop by the WOW blog and check out one of my recent posts that is now up:)

Hi Jenifer here with you today with a simple but beautiful layout.  I have had this wonderful picture of this group of butterflies that I took on a camping trip sitting on my worktable for years now.  It has just been to beautiful for me to really do it justice.  Until now.  As you can see I have kept the page pretty simple but still giving it plenty of pizazz.

Can you see all the sparkle?  I mixed the Sierra Sunrise Embossing Glitter with the Earthtone Honey and got a wonderful effect.
For the Butterfly I used the ebony regular embossing powder and then colored it in with some color to make it look like one of the butterflies was flying out of the picture.

Belive in your dreams/May Arts-Lawn Fawn

Go check out my post over at the May Arts Blog, I made these super cute canvases :)

Hi this is Jenifer here with you today with a cute canvas project to share with you.  When I received the beautiful flutter by stamps from Lawn Fawn I was surprised to see that Lawn Fawn also has paper.  I received the Bright Side collection and these little canvases popped in my head.
These 6×6 canvases were very easy to do, the hardest part was waiting for things to dry.  The first step was punching a border on your background paper and Mod Podging it on the canvas.  Wait for it to dry.  I then took a couple shades of paint and just randomly spread it around with my fingers, finishing it off with a little bit of white to tone it all down.  I used Wow embossing powders in Metallic Platinum Sparkle for the butterflies and the quote to really have them stand out.  Cut out the butterflies and then crease them on body so it looks like they are flying.
I used the bakers twine to make it look like little butterfly trails, the wired pearls so it looks like the butterfly heads and antennae.  I also used the platinum velvet around the edges of the canvases.
I hope you have enjoyed my project for today; I now need to figure out where to hang these…
